Army officer survived trips to Afghanistan, but was killed on a trip to a Wawa store with his daughter. CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — A homicide suspect has been arrested following a police chase through multiple counties. The suspect was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting outside of a Chesterfield Wawa on Tuesday evening. The victim, 34-year-old Robert S. Gooch IV, of the 7700 block of Hampton Green Drive in Chesterfield, died at the hospital after being shot multiple times. Witnesses told 8News the victim’s daughter was with him at the time of the shooting and ran inside the store screaming. Surveillance footage from the Wawa shows the suspect, 34-year-old George Thomas Buschmann.
