The Philadelphia 76ers took a surprising nine-point home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but that didn’t stop Joel Embiid from trolling Tristan Thompson. Prior to the season, Thompson, when asked about the Cavs’ chances in the East, reminded fans that the conference still runs through Cleveland after they took home the conference title last season. There’s no denying that Thompson was correct in his claim. However, over the offseason, the Cavaliers lost arguably the league’s best player in LeBron James and have since started the season 3-14. Even after snapping their losing streak, Embiid mocked Thompson and that preseason claim during his postgame press conference.
