Only a few sports teams can keep their “aura” no matter what. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of these teams. They have won seventeen championships, which is the second most in history after the Celtics. These championships range from Jerry West to LeBron James and many more great players in between.

In March 2026, Jordan Brand will come out with an Air Jordan 4 “Lakers” that pays homage to the iconic Showtime colors in a subtle way. The official pictures of the Grade School version show an Imperial Purple top, yellow insoles, and a yellow Jumpman emblem on the tongue. The heel has speckled yellow Nike Air writing on it. The rest of the design uses black, gray, and off-white. The sneaker also comes in the original Jordan face shoebox with a hangtag and sticker that says “we outside.”
The Jordan 4 “Lakers,” also known as “Imperial Purple,” is set to come out in March 2026. However, it is possible that it will come out early during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. We expect the full family size. See the official pictures of the Grade School edition below. To see more future 4s, go to our Jordan Release Dates page.
